About Brother Griffin
The Grand Keeper of Records
and Seal Omega Demands
Brother Jonathan Griffin, Sr., offers 44+ years of service alongside unparalleled professional expertise in high-level risk and information management. Initiated in the Fall of 1981 at the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter (Benedict College), he is a proven operational leader prepared to transform the Office of the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal (GKRS) into a modern, accountable command center for administrative excellence.
Executive Mastery in
Records & Operations
Brother Griffin’s fraternal career has prepared him to manage the complexity and demands of the GKRS role across four Districts and 10 chapters:
- He has executed the core functions of the office as both District Keeper of Records and Seal (13th International District) and Keeper of Records and Seal for seven (7) of the 10 chapters he has served, culminating with Theta Rho Chapter. He clearly understands the complexities of the office from both a US-based chapter and International-based chapter service perspective.
- As the 13th District Representative, he mandated and enforced compliance across chapters. His impact includes chartering the first International Undergraduate Chapter in Ottawa Canada (Alpha Delta Xi) since the chartering of Sigma Chapter in 1923 in Montreal, Quebec Canada, and establishing Graduate Chapters in Ottawa and Toronto.
- He led the Omega Africa Initiative, partnering to build fish hatcheries in Nigeria, demonstrating logistics and execution far beyond local chapter needs.
- He currently chairs the District Site Selection and Steering Committee, proving his ability to manage the logistics, documentation, and operational delivery for major Fraternity events.
The duties of the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal command mastery of large-scale systems, data security, and fiscal oversight. Brother Griffin brings 40+ years of success managing people and resources at the senior levels of government and agencies.
- With over 15 years in Enterprise and Strategic Risk Management in the Corporate Insurance and Financial Industry and a RIMS-CRMP Certification, he guarantees the security and archival integrity of the fraternity’s sensitive data.
- He has managed budgets from one million to greater than one billion dollars, providing the experience necessary for rigorous, responsible resource management.
- He has a proven 40-year track record of implementing systems to achieve organizational efficiency. This expertise will deliver the secure, user-friendly digital platforms Omega requires.
